(NSD)
                 During the construction period,this        department is mainly responsible for planning the necessary  programmes  for training  of  operation  and maintenance personnel, overview  of  licensing documents and   interaction with  the  Iranian   Regulatory  Authority (IRA). NSD  is also responsible : to ensure  the  planning and development of procedures for procurement of spare parts, repair and maintenance of NPPs;  to  establish  the emergency   preparedness  organization ;  to  ensure  that protective  measures  are  taken  within the site boundary and  within  each   Emergency  Planning Zone  (EPZ);  to overview  the  PSAR,  FSAR and PSA and to manage the development  of  Full Scope  Simulator (FSS),  the  FSS-training programmes and the Training Center (TC).
