The QAD is mainly responsible to ensure
the quality of
activities related to design, manufacturing, construction, commissioning
and operation of NPPs through development and
implementation of Quality Assurance
Programmes (QAPs) based on IRA and IAEA requirements and controls
thereof.
QAD controls the implementation and effectiveness of QAPs
by means of checks, assessment, audits,
surveillance and verifications within the NPPD, organization of the contractor,
sub-contractors, designer offices and manufactures. Detected
non-conformities with the requirements are
followed up by the QAD until their proper disposition or stop
work orders will be issued if the non-conformance is affecting
the quality and safety.
