-Iran – Russia seminar on 25 years peaceful nuclear cooperation began working on Oct/17, for a 2 day period with the participation of high ranking authorities including H.E. Mr. B Kamalvandi, AEOI deputy, heading a delegation and top officials from the Rosatom entity.

-The title of the event was called "25 Years of Cooperation between Russia – Iran in the Field of Peaceful use of Nuclear Energy: new prospects under the joint comprehensive plan of action, annex iii. The participants also included representatives from Iran and Russia's parliaments.

-In this sitting, Russian Foreign Ministry deputy, Mr. Ryabkov and Rosatom deputy Nikolay Spassky reiterated on the international validity of JCPOA and its peaceful global implications.

-During the session, Dr. H. Salehi, AEOI deputy and head of INRA, Iranian National Regulatory Authority, and his Russian counterpart emphasized on the importance of regulatory cooperation between the two countries particularly with regard to the units 2 and 3 of Bushehr powerplant.

-On another occasion during the Iranian delegation visit, Mr. Kamalvandi met Mr. Alexey Likhacev, the head of Rosatom and the two discussed a number of issues regarding current peaceful nuclear cooperation.

-Mr. Likhacev will travel to Tehran, one day before the visit of president Putin to Iran, who is scheduled to visit Bushehr and while holding talks with Dr. Salehi, participate in the opening ceremonies for starting the construction of new units 2 and 3 of the Bushehr power plants.
