  • On/Oct/21 a joint Iran-EU workshop with the title "preparedness, response to radiological, nuclear emergency situations" was held in Luxembourg, EU headquarters.
  • The event was participated by relevant AEOI responsible authorities, crisis management, representatives from the Ministry of Health, and Medical Education and E-U counterparts. The session was opened with statement from Mr. Michael Hubel, responsible officer for E-U radiation protection and emergency situation section.
  • Following that, Mr. Stephan Klement, special advisor task force in charge of (JCPOA) implementation in the European External Action Service (EEAS) referring to annex 3 of the accord, on joint nuclear cooperation, declared it as a key element for promotion of nuclear safety and security and supported the continued holding of such seminars and workshops as vital in this respect.
  • Mr. Azizi, the head of AEOI international affairs said holding such events as seminars and workshops will not only promote Iran-EU relationships and collaborations but it will as well prepare the ground to profit from the nuclear facilities safely.
  • Mr. Patrick Majerus, head of department of radiation protection, ministry of health, as another key participant, supported the holding of such workshops.
  • The seminar continued discussions over issues such as nuclear accidents and radiation protection dimensions. The session was followed by visits paid to the Luxembourg Health Ministry radiation protection section and radiochemical analysis lab and air radiation measurement.
