  • On/Sep/14, the first quantum technology summer school course was opened with a presentation offered by Dr. Salehi, AEOI head and participation of Dr. Ahmadi, advisor to the Minister of Science, Research and Technology and The head of National research institute for science policy (NRISP) as well as the presence of top organization authorities.
  • The course which lasted for 5 days was mainly organized by the AEOI Institute for Nuclear Science and Technology pursues the objective of elevating the public and scientific general knowledge of quantum technology and its applications.
  • The course covered in simple terms the fundamentals of classic physics, quantum mechanics and physics history and their applications in contemporary industries.
  • Dr. Salehi, in a rewarding presentation, emphasizing on the significance of this emerging, rather new technology, in the country, pointed out the following vital remarks.
  • The AEOI is one of the pioneer organization in promoting new technological fronts and standards in the country and has created unprecedented capacities in this field.
  • Quantum technology is one of the important branches in this concept. The organization has throughout the last 3 years emphasized on the important aspects of quantum mechanics such as Entanglement, Superposition in the field of measurements on the Quantum Sensors. The application of quantum technology is extremely sensitive in this respect and will culminate in deployment of quantum computers which is much more precise as compared to the ordinary computers.
  • Quantum sensor applications are used in the measurements of time, light and speed using the earth's magnetic fields.
  • Another important aspect is quantum communication field, quantum simulation which enables the performance of 100 per-cent of a task in labs.
  • With the assistance of expertise we have succeeded in establishing a quantum technology center in the AEOI, and are pursuing to organize a pull function laboratory within a year.
  • Quantum technology is being rapidly promoted in the world and if we lag behind, regret will dominate. We are working on disseminating this knowledge in the high-school senior education and related text books.
  • We are planning to establish a research study center regarding quantum and stem-cell education in the AEOI high-school system with premises around 2000-3000 square meters. This is the advanced technology of the future and Iran must not be left behind in this respect.
  • The head of NRISP, in related remarks, while appreciating the attempts spent by the AEOI regarding this vital branch of science pointed out that in the past there was an interaction between the public and the top scientists through mutual exchange of information, but at present time there is a lack of such a link, as if the public knowledge capacities is underestimated. Some advanced industrial countries, such as japan on the contrary encourage the communication between the public and the scientific elite so as to enrich the common knowledge of the innovations and academic related progresses.
  • He added that it is essential that the people be constantly aware of all new advances in new sciences.
